Dear Sweet Child

Dear sweet child, so innocent,
So bursting with good-will,
You teach me much, for many wrongs
My bitter spirit fill.

You show a lust and love for life
That I have nearly lost,
You show how greatly is the goal
Deserving of the cost.

So undefiled, my little one,
So eager for each day;
You give me hope that I might learn
To live again this way.

This poem expresses a lot what my sentiments were when I watched Monica's video of Chloe looking at the stuffed animals! The world has lost its innocence and only the very small children seem to show it to us any more. I love your poem and I hope we all keep that innocence of heart we need to serve God faithfully in this life. ~ Mom
