Love Made it So

Who said that heaven’s sky is blue?
And what has made it so?
Well, common sense has said it’s so
And Love has made it true.

What made the trees of nature green,
What made the robin red?
‘Twas He Who one small word had said
And all the world was seen.

‘Twas Love made seasons, Love made light,
And Love wrought sight and sound,
‘Twas Love gave beauty all around
And furnished day and night.

Then why was breath bequeathed to man?
Why ever has he soul?
To love the One Who loved in full
The best that e’er he can.
